Santos’ Obituary Santos M. “Rock Pop” Hernandez, age 77, of Brady, Texas entered into rest Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Brady, surrounded by his nieces. Santos, or better known as Rock Pop, was born April 3, 1942 in Seguin, Texas to Polo Hernandez and Florentina (Montanez) Hernandez. He married Angelita Garcia in 1959 in Brady. Santos was a hard worker. He worked at Brady Mills for several years. Later, he worked for Bird Song Peanuts in Gorman, Texas and Fields Sprinkler Systems. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to dance and party with his friends and family. To Santos, every woman was a “Pretty Momma”. He was raised a methodist and has been a member of the Divine Redeemer Church in Brady for several years. Funeral services for Santos “Rock Pop” Hernandez will be held 10:00am Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Divine Redeemer Church in Brady with Reverend Fernando Nandin officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00pm Tuesday, at the Gorman City Cemetery in Gorman, Texas next to his wife and son. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with a wake service at 7:00pm, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Pallbearers will be Raymond Hernandez, Jr., Fernando Nandin, Jr., Joe Mendez, Jr., Juan Barron, Jesse Ramon and Johnny Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Isaiah Regeon, Elaine Nandin, Lucy Lafuente and Rosie Aguirre. Santos is survived by his son Freddy Hernandez of Austin, Texas; brother Raymond Hernandez and wife Anita of Pear Valley, Texas; sisters Adaladia Sauceda and husband Domingo of Brady, Texas, Velia Cook and husband Eugene of Brady, Texas and Susanna Nandin and husband Fernando of Brady, Texas; 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Santos loved very much and was loved very much. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Jacinto, brothers Juan and Polo and sister Becky Nandin.
