Samuel’s Obituary Portsmouth – Samuel T. Sterling, Jr., 56, husband of Ollegra (Shaw) Sterling, of Portsmouth, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 30, 2019. He was born on September 11, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Samuel T. Sr and Catherine Sterling. He proudly serviced his country in the United States Air Force. Sam was currently employed for Lonza in Portsmouth. He was an avid collector of vintage electronics especially classic stereo equipment; he also loved to make music. He is survived by his parents of Fairfield, CA; wife of 22 years, Ollegra (Shaw) Sterling of Portsmouth; children, Tyrese K. Sterling, Monique C. Sterling and Veronica R. Sterling; and a sister, Jacqueline Sterling. Services: A memorial visitation will be held from 4-5pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 5pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. A reception will be held at the Greenleaf Recreation Center, 195 Greenleaf Ave, Portsmouth. following the service.
