Samuel’s Obituary Samuel O. Thorsell, age 12, of Grafton and Park River, ND passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his father’s home in Park River, ND. Samuel Oscar Thorsell was born June 16, 2006 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Craig Thorsell and Jana West Thorsell. He grew up in the Grafton and Park River area and had just completed the sixth grade at the Grafton Elementary School. Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his bike and spending time with family and friends. He loved to help with the Faith and Care group at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Samuel is survived by his parents: Craig Thorsell (Jean Vejtasa), Park River, ND; Jana Thorsell (Jason Haats), Grafton, ND; siblings: Kaden Thorsell, Park River, ND; Taryn Thorsell, Park River, ND; Alexis Cudmore, Grafton, ND; Amelia Haats, Grafton, ND; Easton Haats, Grafton, ND; paternal grandparents: Gary and Marilyn Thorsell, Larimore, ND; maternal grandmother, Avis West, Grafton, ND. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard West; uncles: Michael Thorsell and Carl Ferber and cousins: Vance Bakke and Andrew Bakke. Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Grafton Lutheran Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
