Roy Lee “Swede” Dyer, the son of the late Harry Lee and Early Viola (Hunt) Dyer, was born Friday, January 20, 1956 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, June 16, 2019 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. He was 63 years, 4 months and 28 days of age. He was a former factory worker and was of the Baptist Faith. “Swede” enjoyed playing cards and watching western movies. He is survived by his wife: Vickie Estes Dyer of Greensburg; a daughter and son-in-law: Brooke and Jordan Riley of Lebanon; a granddaughter: Olivia Grace Riley; a sister: Wanda Dyer of Campbellsville; his nephews: Roger Lee Cox, Clint Whitehouse and Jeffrey Cox; and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service for Roy Lee “Swede” Dyer will be Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Mt. Gilboa Cemetery, 3205 Mt. Gilboa Road, Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow. Visitation from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
