Ronnie A. “Kid” Shade, 44, of Roodhouse passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in Jacksonville. He was born, Dec. 30, 1974, in Silvis, the son of Edward L. and Denise J. Caldwell Shade. Surviving are his parents, Ed and Denise Shade of Roodhouse: children, Brandon A. Shade of Virginia, Bryan E. Shade of Jacksonville; stepchildren, Hope Frazier of Jacksonville, Faith Powell of Florida; brother, Scott Shade of Ohio; sisters, Michelle D. (Nathan) Roberts of White Hall, Rebecca J. Jilg and Sarah Turley both of Roodhouse; one grandchild; nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Wade, Whitney and Meagan Roberts, Samantha, Jessica and Hunter Jilg, Jason Turley Jr and Eden Baird. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edward and Joan Shade; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Patricia Caldwell; aunt, Rita Stallard and uncle, Benny Caldwell. Ronnie made his living as an accomplished drywaller. He enjoyed shooting pool, NASCAR, fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Roodhouse. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Richwoods Cemetery east of Roodhouse.
