Ronald Lynn Whitt, age 69, of Dryden, VA passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home in Dryden, VA. Ronald was born in Clintwood, VA on July 6, 1949. Ronald was an UMWA Coal Miner for many years. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Opal Whitt; two sisters Gerrie Sowards and Mary Ruth Flemings; three brothers Jimmy Whitt, Stewart Whitt, and Clyde Mullins. Ronald is survived by his wife of the home Barbara Ann Whitt; his son Ronald L. Whitt of Johnson City, TN; step-son Jeffery Berry and family of Indianapolis, IN; step-daughter Janice McCollan and family of Cincinnati, OH; one brother Dewey Whitt of Pound, VA, two sisters Mildred Gibson and Betty Belcher both of Pound, VA; his nephew Garry Flemings of Clintwood, VA; and a host of many friends. A Graveside Service will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Cecil-Fry Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA, with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. which is a special friend and Pastor officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:30 PM Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
