Roger’s Obituary HUMMEL, Roger M.; of Oxford, formerly of Waterford; passed away June 3, 2019 due to lymphoma; age 70; husband of Nora for 34 years; brother of Richard Hummel; special uncle of Robin (Don) Schalte, Josh Hummel and Xana (Philip Anderson) DeMilner; preceded in death by his parents Walter and Olive, stepfather Ed Jostock and sister Nancy Ballard; brother in law of Lawrence (Shiela Wright) DeMilner, David (late JoAnn) DeMilner, Rick DeMilner, Rob DeMilner, Dennis (Adrienne) DeMilner and Chuck DeMilner; also survived by many Hart cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Roger served in the United States Navy and retired from General Motors in 2002. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time outdoors, especially kayaking. Roger was an enthusiastic banjo player and appreciated bluegrass music. Friends may visit at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston Thursday 5:00pm- 8:00 pm. Memorial Service Friday 12:30 pm at the funeral home with military honors. Private burial Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Red Cross.
