Funeral services for Deacon Rodges Steve Thymes, Sr., 75, of Cedar Lane will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cedar Lane with Pastor Michael A. Reddick II eulogizing and Rev. Kenneth Bree officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Cedar Lane, TX. He passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Kindred Hospital in Sugar Land, TX. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board. He enjoyed traveling, playing basketball, playing dominoes, fishing and grilling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of O.H. Herman School Alumni. He leaves to cherish his loving memories; his loving and devoted wife, Mary Thymes, Cedar Lane; sons, Marvin Wayne Thymes, Sr. (Cynthia), Navosota, Rodges Steve Thymes, Jr. (Tracy), Richwood and Derick Dwayne Thymes (Patricia), Pflugerville, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Reginald Austin, Byron Austin, Gregory Stevens II, Jason Stevens, Greg Lewis, Albert Windom, Harold Murphy and Herman Edison. Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
