Robert’s Obituary Robert L. White June 20, 1937-June 14, 2019 Robert L. White of Lafayette passed away Friday morning at home. He was 81. Mr. White retired from California Pellet Mill after 33 years of service. He was a member of Heartland Community Church in Lafayette. He enjoyed going to flea markets, gospel concerts and was an avid Cubs fan. He also served 13 years as a hospital red coat and served in the U. S. Army from 1962-1964. Born June 20, 1937 in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of Walter E. White and Louise Sheets White. He attended Crawfordsville High School. He married the former Gwen Burk on July 1, 1995. She survives. Surviving family includes: wife, Gwen White of Lafayette; son, Skip Davis (Patty) of Anderson; four step-children, Linda Dennison (Bruce) of Crawfordsville, Michael Miller (Karen) of Evansville; Martha K. Miller of Lafayette; Jim Miller (Joni) of Thorntown; two brothers, Larry White (Donata) of Noblesville, Jim White (Sheryl) of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 10 AM to Noon Wednesday, June 19th at Heartland Community Church, 3900 E. 300 North, Lafayette, with services starting at Noon, led by Pastor Ron Kelley and Pastor Brandon Smith. Committal with military rites will be at 3:30 PM at the Oak Hill Mausoleum in Crawfordsville. Burkhart Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
