Cobleskill- Robert L. Brumaghim, 85, of Winegard Road, died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Born June 10, 1933 in Hyndsville, he was the son of Stuart L. and Norma (Steenburgh) Brumaghim. Robert was a 1951 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School. A truck driver for most of his life, Bob retired from the Town of Cobleskill where he also operated trucks. In his leisure, Bob enjoyed wood working, craft shows, watching and feeding his birds. He was predeceased by his two sons: Robert P. and Charles L. Brumaghim. Left cherishing his memories are his wife, Dorothy A. (Terpening) Brumaghim, whom he married on June 24, 1956; three daughters: Barbara A. (Larry) Schaffer of Cobleskill, Connie L. Brumaghim of Richmondville and Nancy-Jo Brumaghim of Cobleskill; four grandchildren: Angela J. Schaffer (Jason) and her children: Jackson and Naomi, Nikki L. Schaffer and her twins, Graecyn and Skylaer, Sara F. Berard and her son, Roman, and Stephanie R. Berard; a brother, Louie Brumaghim and two sisters: Eleanor Wright and Norma Mary Cook and several nieces and nephews. At Robert’s request, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or formal service. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Christian Community Church of Faith, PO Box 93, Richmondville, NY 12149. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY. Donations may be made to: Christian Community Church of Faith PO Box 93, Richmondville NY 12149
