Rita E. Davidson, 69, of Enon went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on July 11, 1949 in Springfield to the late Rodger and Jane Knight. Rita was a retired school teacher who enjoyed the many years she taught at Hustead in the Greenon Local School District. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Davidson, on June 16, 1973 and was dedicated to her family above anything else in her life. Rita was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and served the Lord faithfully. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodger and Ella “Jane” (McCabe) Knight. Rita is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Rudy of Enon; a son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Kristy Davidson of Concord, NC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick & Nancy Knight and Rodney & Margaret Knight; four grandchildren, Bryant (17) & Caden (12) Rudy and Kaylee (14) & Kristian (12) Davidson; numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who will miss her dearly and grieve her loss forever. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 2731 W. Jackson Rd, Springfield, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Banick presiding. Burial will immediately follow in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield. Family and friends may also call upon the family during visitation at Adkins Funeral Home in Enon on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
