Richard L. Shultz, age 76, of Mansfield, Ohio died on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at his home. He was born September 20, 1942 in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Richard E. and Rosemary Wyatt Shultz. He was the co-owner of Eddie’s Sunoco in Mansfield. Richard was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Surviving are two sons, Jess M. Shultz and Edward D. Shultz; grandchildren, Lexis Shultz, Lauryn Young, and Landon Stivenson; four sisters JoAnn Bates, Patsy Ann McCoy, Carol Sue Burns and Donna Burns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jackie A. Hartman Shultz who died September 24, 2016; a sister Betty Jane Griffin, two brothers Edward Shultz and George Shultz. Friends and family may call from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 28, 2019 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Doris Flynn officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville with full military rites accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
