Richard Dale Kjellberg 87 years 5/16/1932 – 6/4/2019 Dick grew up on St. Paul’s east side, was a Korean vet, and was married and devoted to Janet, the love of his life, for over 50 years. His unshakeable faith in our Lord guided him well his entire life. A skilled mechanic and master of many trades, Dick often shared his talents and expertise helping others. An avid hobbyist, he left no interest unexplored; sailing Lake Superior, building and flying model airplanes and restoring antique clocks and cars were among his many pursuits. Dick held a HAM radio license for over 60 years, communicating with amateur radio operators from around the world. An expert waterskier and fisherman, he built a cabin in NW Wisconsin where he and Janet enjoyed weekends “at the lake” with family and friends. Many winters were spent relaxing in sunny Florida. Loved and respected by so many, Dick will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his wife, Janet; parents, Harry and Marie Kjellberg; brothers, Lawrence, William and Donald Kjellberg; many relatives and friends. A proud father and grandfather, Dick is survived by sons, David (Joe Holmers); Patrick; daughter, Susan Alberts (Jim), grandsons, Matthew Alberts (Becky Grossman); Benjamin Alberts; nieces, nephews and friends.
