Reta Kay Lowry of Tulsa, Oklahoma October 14, 1943 – June 22, 2019 A funeral ceremony honoring the life of Reta Kay Lowry will be held 2 Pm Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Rice Funeral Service in Catoosa. Interment will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Reta passed away Saturday morning, June 22, 2019 at her home in Tulsa. She was 75. Born October 14, 1943 in Roff, Oklahoma, Reta was the daughter of Earl and Leda Jewel (Johnson) Williams. She attended school in Ada where she graduated with the Class of 1961. Following high school, Reta became a hairdresser and established a loyal clientele in the area. She met and married Fred Lowry. The couple moved to Tulsa in 1976. Family gatherings were always a top priority to Reta. She loved fishing, playing, cards, and camping at all of the Oklahoma lakes. Reta also loved margaritas and spending time at the casinos. She supported Fred with his involvement in the Masonic fraternity and became very active in the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine. Reta will be missed by a family that loved her dearly. Surviving family members include her husband, James “Fred” Lowry of the home; her children: Sherri Thompson and her husband, John of Tulsa, and Jason Lowry and his wife, Taynia of Bartlesville; stepchildren: Donna Smith and her husband, Jonathan, and Glenna Bailey; her grandchildren: Miranda, Lindsey, Matthew, Samantha, and Evan; 10 great grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters: Clifford Williams, Lois Montgomery, David Williams, Anita Lewis, and Phillis Northcutt. Reta was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Lenford “Whimp” Williams, Berl Williams, and Donald Williams.
