Born in Trainer, PA, where he spent his childhood, he went on to live in Brookhaven, PA for 40 years, then Fox Hill Farm in Glen Mills for 7 years, and spent his last years happily at Granite Farm Estates, in Media, PA since 2004. He was a graduate of Eddystone High School and went on to work at Scott Paper Company in Chester as a machinist for 40 years. Peter had a love of cars; was an active member of North Chester Baptist Church where he was the financial secretary and was a Deacon for over 15 years; and belonged to the VFW 70/60. He is a US Army Veteran where he served as a Platoon Sargent in Italy during the years of 1945-1947. Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years Florence Virginia who passed in 2014; his parents Pearl and Wasyl Lapchuk; and his sisters Helen Patterson, Eleanor Morris, Alice Spanier, and Ann Topster. Funeral service Saturday 10:30 at North Chester Baptist Church, 2331 Providence Ave., Chester, PA, 19013. Visitation Saturday 9:30-10:30 at the church. Burial LawnCroft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
