Owen’s Obituary Owen Ray Jacobs, age 72, a longtime Lane, OK resident, was born on Sunday, February 2, 1947, to Harlie and Dorothy Elizabeth (Northrip) Jacobs, at Heavener, OK. Owen passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home in Lane, OK. He attended Farris School, Crystal School and Moyers High School. Owen was an over the road truck driver, owner/operator, and for the last two years was a rock hauler. Owen proudly served his country in The U.S. Army. He married Carolyn Sue Harper in 1989 at Darwin, OK in Pushmataha County. Owen was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, mechanicing, racing cars, and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren. Owen is survived by the mother of his children, Carolyn Harper Jacobs of Darwin, OK; children, Steve Jacobs and wife Britt of Germany, Melissa (Jacobs) Burleson and husband Justin of Crystal, OK, Ashley (Jacobs) Nelson and husband Billy of Crystal, OK; grandchildren, Samantha Jacobs, Colin Jacobs, Traycen Burleson, Kylee Burleson, Tuff Nelson; sister, Doris Bruce of Atoka, OK; great aunt, Betty Douglas and husband Jack of Missouri; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
