Olene Allred, 88, of Ozark, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, June 9, 2019. She was retired from the Ozark Public School System as the Food Services Director. She was born November 27, 1930 on Thanksgiving Day in McCurtain, Oklahoma, and anyone who knew and loved her had much for which to be thankful. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Mamie Blan Kuykendall of Roseville, Arkansas; three sisters, Ola Mae Kinney of Roseville, Aretha Buckner ofLubbock, Texas , and Juanita Shott of Gladewater, Texas. Olene is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Harrison Allred, of Ozark; a sister Betty Wyers and husband Clifford of Roseville; a daughter Teresa Hurt and husband Lonnie of Greenwood, Arkansas; two sons, Kevin Allred and wife Kim and Rick Allred, both of Ozark. Olene also had four grandchildren, Amy Pennington, Alan Hurt, Leslie Stapp, and Jerrod Allred; and three great grandchildren, Madison Pennington, Rider Hurt, and Mazee Hurt. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Terry and Brother Mike Lewis officiating and burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Mike and Jason Wyers, Eugene and Dillon Corley, Jimmy, John, and Joey Kinney. Honorary pallbearers are Alan Hurt, Britt Allred, Randy McClain, Rick Gage and Travis Gage, and Steve Walker.
