Norma Jean Winters, 92, of Kansas City, KS passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Hospital. She was born January 5, 1927, the daughter of Gail and Ada Wyrick in Picher, Oklahoma. On May 31, 1943 she married the love of her life, Bob Winters, who preceded her in death. Norma was the family matriarch and rock. She spent her life being a nurturer. She raised her kids and enjoyed later being a grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking and baking as well as sewing clothes. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Gospel Tabernacle. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; a daughter, Sharron Winters; her parents; three brothers, Gailard Wyrick, Joe Wyrick, and Jimmy Wyrick; three sisters, Vivian Stanton, Pauline Fuqua, and Baby Ruby. She leaves behind her son Ronnie Winters and his wife Linda who she lived with for thirty years; a brother, Bob Wyrick and wife Bonnie of Tonganoxie, KS; four granddaughters; twelve great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Maple Hill Cemetery. Following the graveside service the family will host a celebration of life beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Olive Branch Ministries (923 South Bethany Kansas City, KS 66106).
