Nell Van Cleave, age 94 of Paris, died Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the AHC Healthcare Center in Paris. Nell was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She formerly had worked for the Mitchum Company and the Holley Carburetor Plant. She enjoyed sewing and used her sewing skills to make gifts for teachers throughout the years. Nell very much enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Born September 12, 1924, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Dave Morris and the late Nelle Maddox Morris. She was married to Calvin Van Cleave June 17, 1986, who preceded her in death on December 3, 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Jennie (Victor) Baldwin of Paris; three grandchildren, Vicki (Steve) Elkins of Jackson, TN, Traci (Jeff) Smith and Kelli Chandler both of Paris; seven great grandchildren, Chelsea Edwards of Jackson, TN, Shelby Elkins of Jackson, TN, Jennie Lynn (Josh) Lovett of Georgia, Jenson Smith of Murray, KY, Kinsley Chandler, Cooper Chandler and Collier Greer Chandler all of Paris; and three great great grandchildren, Frances Hall Lovett, Ruby Edwards and Jac Jac Edwards. In addition to her parents and last husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Belle Puckett and former husbands, J D Weddle and Doris Kuykendall. Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held Monday, July 1, 2019, at 12 pm at Temple Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church 619 N.
