Nancy L. Remaley, 81, of Bellevue, died at the Firelands Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 21, following failing health. Nancy was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on November 15, 1937 to Lawrence and Inez (Taylor) Mizer. She was a member of the 1956 Bellevue High School graduating class, then Stevens College in Columbian, Missouri and graduated from the National College of Education in Evanston, Illinois. Mrs. Remaley taught kindergarten at the former Pike School in Bellevue and then finished her career in the Sandusky School System until retirement in 1987. Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bellevue, the Eastern Star, the Bellevue Eagles Auxiliary, Kappa Gamma – International Society for Women Teachers, and NARVRE. On August 4, 1975, she married Ervin W. Remaley. He survives, along with her granddaughter Crimson Remaley; her sister, Shirley Todd-Sullivan of Bellevue, six nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews. Her faithful companion, Libby survives as well. Preceding her in death are her parents, stepsons, Brian and Eric Remaley; and sister, Marthella Burroughs. Visitation will be on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, Northwest St., Bellevue, Ohio. Rev. Justin Jump will officiate. Following the funeral service, the Eastern Star service will be held at the Church. Burial will follow at the Bellevue Cemetery Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Sandusky County Humane Society
