Myrtle Lee Harris passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on October 5, 1948 in Green Cove Springs, FL to the late John WA Jeffers and the late Myrtle P. Cercy. Myrtle was a long-time resident of Clay county, which allowed her to be near her large extended family. Family was always very important to her. She was an extraordinary cook but also a very passionate baker. She enjoyed spending time with her family above all else. Myrtle was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord and worked hard every day to exemplify God’s teachings. Myrtle was known fondly by many names “Lee”, “Mama”, “Ma”, “Sister”, “Granny” and “MiMi”. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilbert Harris; daughter, Brenda Marlene and brothers, John O. and Coy D. Jeffers. Myrtle is survived by her loving daughter, Dana R. Gary (fiancée, Ervin Quiles); granddaughter, Morgan R. Cathlino (Adam B.); great-grandsons, Arastyn L., Jericho M. and Oniyx K. Cathlino as well as many step-daughters, step-grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. A memorial service will be on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5040 County Road 218, Middleburg, FL 32068. Services entrusted to Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, 904-264-1233.
