Millard Leon Foster, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away late Friday night, June 21, 2019 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Jim Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm EST prior to the service at the funeral home in Phenix City. Mr. Foster was born August 22, 1936 in Phenix City, AL to the late Floyd E. Foster, and Blanche Foster. He had worked most of life as independent contractor building homes with his brother. He enjoyed fishing and entertaining friends and family at his catfish lakes at his home. He loved the outdoors, gardening, yard activities, and church fellowship. He was Christian and a member of Central Baptist Church in Phenix City. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Foster. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Marilyn Shirah Foster of Phenix City, AL, one sister, Faye Todd of Albany, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Leathers of New Bern, NC, and Carlvin Shirah of Phenix City, AL, several nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and numerous friends.
