Maxine’s Obituary Maxine Critchelow, 89, of Decatur, IL went to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Imboden Creek Living Center in Decatur. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00am at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur with a visitation on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 6-8:00pm also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Life Builders Church. Maxine was born on December 31, 1929, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of James and Edna (Robb) Thompson. She married Samuel R. Critchelow on Aug. 21, 1949 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2004. Maxine retired from Taylor Pharmaceutical in the 1980s, and was a member of the Life Builders Church in Decatur. Surviving are her children; Linda (Richard) Wedge of Georgetown, IN; and Sharon (Glen) Saunders; John Critchelow; and Paula (Patrick) McCoy all of Decatur, IL; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister; Gloria Brinkman of Decatur, IL. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel, two sisters and three brothers. he family would like to thank all the staff at Imboden Creek Living Center for the loving care of Maxine. There are so many staff members she loved along with her great roommate Mildred Girard and wonderful close friends Ruth, Doris, and Betty. Read More
