Cynthia Letang was born May 11, 1970 in the town of Roseau in the Commonwealth of Dominica to the late Andrew Maglorie and Paulina Maglorie who is here with us today. She was the last of six children, four boys and two girls. She resided in the village of Bourne and attended the Dos’Dane Public School. Her favorite sport was playing a game called rounders and cricket. She was the team leader of the game. Cynthia was a remarkable woman with great Christian values who was a blessing to those who met her. Later in life she fell in love with the love of her life Micah Letang. One year later he migrated to the island of St. Maarten. She soon decided to join him and one year later she also migrated to St. Maarten. In 1993, four years later she gave her hand to him in marriage. She was a woman who exhibited the fruits of the spirit. She was beautiful both inside and out. “Who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies.” This was her description. In 2001, she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, Kyrone who brought joy to their heart. He just graduated from High school on May 28th five days after she passed. In 2005, she migrated to the United States together with her family. She worked as a pre-school teacher at the Mt. Calvary Child Development Center for about thirteen years. She was loved and admired by all her co-workers. In 2007, she was blessed with a baby girl. She was so elated that she named her Nevaeh which is “Heaven” spelled backwards. She had many great and happy times with her family, in-laws and church family, but her life changed when one year ago she was diagnosed with cancer. During her illness, she kept on trusting in the Lord. She never complained or questioned God; with great support from her family, in-laws and friends, she was able to maintain her faith in the Lord. Before she left home for the hospital the last time, her husband asked her what she was thinking about, she looked at him and said, “I am thinking about you all”. She was selfless and had a heart full of love for her family. Her husband spent the last week at the hospital with her while she was ailing. He said just one day before she passed, she was humming a song. Surely, her praises went up to the creator at her final time on the earth. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Magloire; sister, Clara Magloire; brothers, Lucien Toussaint and Edictor Magloire. She leaves to mourn her husband, Micah Letang; 1 son, Kyrone Letang; 1 daughter, Nevaeh Letang; step-daughter, Charlene Letang Gairy; her mother, Paulina Magloire; brothers, Alick and Alex Magloire; aunts, Yvonne Vivile and Viella Daroux; uncles, Thomas Daroux; nieces, Candia Magloire and Nardia Magloire, Lena Maglorie abd Sandra Ettienne Matthew; nephews, Carrington Ettienne, Hamilton James, Kenrick Magloire and Bernard Valerie; cousins, Vanda Maglorie-Richards, Ursela Barty, Necilia Vivile, Steve, Josephine and Babra-Ann; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Lornita Letang; 11 sisters-in-law; 4 brothers-in-law; other nephews, nieces, cousins, friends too numerous to mention, including best-friends, Susan Sutherland, Rose Langlais and Corinthia Ordain. She went to sleep in the Lord on May 23, 2019. We have the hope that on the resurrection morning that she will rise in the first resurrection. May her soul rest in peace.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Maureen Cynthia Letang May 11 1970 May 23 2019 (age 49).
