Mary Herring Brown, 74, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at her home. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Mrs. Brown was born October 7, 1944 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Floyd Herring and Vera Spivey Herring. She was a homemaker and a member of Weems Rd. Freewill Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, BG Herring, Ruby Coffield, Floyd Herring, Jr., Gerald Ray Herring, Jasper Jack Herring, Freddie M. Herring and Faye Weaver. Survivors include her husband, Wendell Brown of Columbus, GA, children, Wendell F. Brown (Michelle), Rhonda Darrah (Jeff) all of Columbus, GA and Lavonda Sanders (Brett) of Savannah, GA, grandchildren, Tiffany Brown, Brandon Darrah, Brooke Sanders and Brett Sanders, Jr., soon-to-be great-grandchild, Waverly Jade Sanders, brother, Gary Wayne Herring (Mary Jane), and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
