Mary passed peacefully on Monday morning June 3, 2019 at the Sea View Retreat in Rowley, Ma. Mary was the loving wife of Robert L. Whitney who predeceased her, the mother of Robert, Diane, and James as well as the grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 9. Mary is also survived by her brother William Edgar Hardy of Concord Ma. and was predeceased by her brother Paul Herbert Hardy. Mary worked for The Travelers Insurance Company of Hartford Ct., the Walter F. Delaney Insurance Agency of Milton Ma., and for the Family Company, General Linen Service, Inc. of Newburyport, Ma. Mary was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic of Exeter N.H. and served as International Regent for the Society of The Daughters of Isabella in New Haven, Ct. Family and friends are invited to Mary’s Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 8, 2019 at St. Mary Church 202 Main St, Rowley, MA 01969. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Milton Cemetery 211 Centre St. Milton, MA 02186. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
