Larson, age 80, of Marble, MN passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Brookstone Manor Specialty Care, Grand Rapids, MN. Marlys was born in 1939 to Arnold and Doris Karppi in Grand Rapids, MN. Marlys graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1957. Marlys and Walfred Larson were united in marriage on October 3, 1958 in Marble, MN. Marlys worked as a Nurse’s Aid at Leisure Hills in Grand Rapids. She enjoyed spending time at her cabins. Preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Marvin Karppi. Marlys is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walfred; daughters, Julie (Todd) Rollins of Marble, MN, Kathie (Mark Widing) Moran of Bovey, MN; son, Jerry (Peggy Mikulich) Larson of Bovey, MN; brother, Henry (Arlene) Karppi of Eagan, MN; sister-in-law, Ruth (Gary) Burns of Bovey, MN; grandchildren, Shannon (Jesse) Wellen, Lindsey Monnens, Jaden Kent-Larson; great granddaughter, Josslyn Wellen. At Marlys’ request, no services will be held.
