Mario Signorelli September 22, 1947 – June 22, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book Mario Signorelli, 71, of Cromwell, CT peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 22nd, 2019 at his home surrounded by loving family and friends. Born on September 22, 1947 in Floridia, Province of Siracusa, Italy to Sebastiano and Angela (Tiralongo) Signorelli, he resided in Hartford, CT for 41 years before moving to his current home in Cromwell. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served proudly with the United States Army. After his service, he married the love of his life, Paula (Gsoell) Signorelli, who was his constant companion for 47 years. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family. He cherished his vacations with his wife, his devoted daughter and son in law, Kimberly and Kyla Benson, and his two beautiful granddaughters, Kaylin and Kendra, who loved their “Poppi.” He is also survived by his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Enza and Sebastiano Latina of Wethersfield, CT and his many loving nieces and nephews, who affectionately referred to him as “Uncie.” He also leaves countless friends that he loved spending time with by the pool and at the beach. He could always be found at his home away from home, under an umbrella at “his spot” on the Saybrook Town Beach or on the sunny shores of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. No matter the season or the event, he had the ability to light up a room wearing one of his signature red sweatshirts. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 10am in St. John’s Church, 5 Saint Johns Ct. Cromwell. Burial will be private. Family and Friends are invited to the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill on Tuesday June 25th 5-8PM.
