Marilyn S. Connell, age 82, former Shelby resident died Thursday June 13, 2019 in Galion Pointe nursing facility. Born October 8, 1936 in Galion to Glenn V. and Martha E. (Johnston) Miller, she had been a Shelby resident since 1962. Marilyn was employed for 15 years with Shelby Memorial Hospital as a LPN. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, sewing and spending time with her family. Survivors include one son, Craig (Sue) Connell of Mansfield; one daughter, Cheryl (Roger) Lewis of Mansfield; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Miller of California and James (Sandy) Miller of Ashland; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Jo Connell in 1957 and one brother, Jerry Miller. Per Marilyn’s wishes, funeral services will not be observed. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby assisted the family with arrangements.
