She was born on Wednesday, December 21, 1927 in Livingston, IL. She was the daughter of David and Mary (Malench) Bononi. She was married to Robert L. Martintoni on January 13, 1945 in Livingston, IL. Robert preceded her in death on Thursday, January 2, 2003. Marian was a Homemaker and also helped her husband when they were owner/operators of Martintoni Hardware in Livingston, IL. She also clerked for Duda Hardware in Staunton, IL and for Nancy’s Flower Shop in Livingston, IL. Marian also volunteered at “His Service Station” in Staunton, IL. Her favorite pastime was working crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston, IL and a member of the Sacred Heart Altar & Rosary Society. Marian was very devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and along with that devotion she was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, that was dedicated to her entire family and to her friends. Babe is survived by her 2 Daughters: Vivian Martin of Opdyke, IL and Beverly Williams (Ron) of Livingston, IL. 2 Sons: Robert “Bobby” Martintoni (Delores) of Livingston, IL and David Martintoni of Staunton, IL. 5 Grandchildren: Mario Hodge (Debra); Scott Williams (Kelly); Stacy Williams (Andy); Melissa (Martintoni) Weindel (Billy); and Michael Martintoni (Stephanie). 9 Great Grandchildren: Isabella, Silvio, Taylor Jo, Sophia, Ethan, Matthew, Michaela, Lucas, and Chase. 1 Great Great Grandchild: Rylan. Several, Loving Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, Grandson: David Mario Martintoni Jr., Her In-laws: John and Margaret Martintoni; Son-in-law: Richard Martin; Sister: Dora Schlechte (Harry); Brothers: Carlo Bononi (Alvina); Steve Bononi (Marie); and Eddie Bononi who died during childhood; Brothers-in-law: Joseph Martintoni and Frank Martintoni (Erna). A Visitation for Marian “Babe” Martintoni will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 188 Livingston Ave in Livingston, IL. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston, IL with Fr. George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery near Livingston, IL. Memorial Contributions in memory of Marian Martintoni can be made to the Livingston-Williamson Fire Department, the Sacred Heart Cemetery or to the Sacred Heart Southern Mission of Walls, MS.
