Margaret Louise Barr May 21, 1927 – June 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Margaret Louise Speaks Barr, age 92, of Payneville, KY passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Brandenburg Nursing and Rehabilitation. Margaret was born May 21, 1927 in Mooleyville, KY to the late Joseph Henry Speaks and Lucy Catherine Burch Speaks. Her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Parr and Virginia Catherine Speaks and brothers, Joseph Corbett Speaks and Louis Emanuel Speaks preceded her in death. Margaret was a life-long member of St. Theresa of Avila Church in Rhodelia, KY and had worked for many years in the laundry at Fort Knox. She is survived by her husband, Frank Barr of Payneville, KY; sister-in-law, Rita Barr and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11 A.M. EST at St. Theresa of Avila Church in Rhodelia, KY with Father Ben Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 24 from 12 Noon until 8 P.M. EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home and Tuesday after 9 A.M.at the church. Prayer Vigil will be held Monday at 6 P.M. with Deacon Greg Beavin officiating.
