Margaret K. “Peggy” Nix June 21, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Margaret K. “Peggy” Nix, age 76, of Cohasset, MN, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN. Margaret was born on April 15, 1943 to Wesley and Vivian Carpenter in Kirkland, WA. Margaret attended schools in Cohasset and Grand Rapids, MN. On July 25, 1959, she was united in marriage to Dennis Nix at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bovey. They then moved to Portland, Oregon for Dennis’ work. In 1965 they made their home in Cohasset. Margaret and Dennis were married for 54 years prior to his passing away in 2014. Margaret was a wonderful homemaker and made many crocheted and crafted items. She loved spending time with her daughters, granddaughter, and great granddaughter. She enjoyed camping, socializing around the campfire, and watching hummingbirds. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Dennis “Tiny” Nix; brother, Richard Carpenter. Margaret is survived by two daughters, Debra (Luke) Dorscher and Rhonda Nix; sister, Suzette Carpenter; brother, Terry (Connie) Carpenter; granddaughter, Ashley Dorscher; great-granddaughter, Hayven Mallum; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, MN followed by the 2:00 PM Memorial Service at Rowe Funeral Home. Rev. Lance Edminster will officiate. Private family burial will be at in Wildwood Cemetery in Cohasset, MN.
