Bennettsville Mrs. Magdalene English Lee passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, after a brief illness. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Lee was born in Scotland County on July 27, 1946 to the late Hilton and Julia Chavis English. She was a member of Kingdom Life World Outreach. She was retired from Abbott Laboratories as a Production Technician. Mrs. Lee enjoyed playing with her dogs, working with her flowers, spending time with her grandchildren, and spoiling her great grandchild. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; husband of 55 years, Curtis Floyd Lee of Bennettsville; daughter, Carol Lee Sweatt (Terry) of McColl; daughter-in-love, Sharon M. Lee of Bennettsville; brother, Larry English (Deegee) of Rosman, NC; sister, Virginia Sweatt of Hamlet, NC; grandchildren, Robert Floyd Lee, Jr. and Julia Curtessa Sweatt; great-grandchild, Christopher Mason Blue. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; son, Robert Floyd Lee; 2 infant brothers. A funeral service will be held 2pm Monday, June 10, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Dr. Eddie Pruitt.
