MacKenzie Leh Clausen, born November 16, 1997 to Paul and Michelle (Parker-Telck) Clausen went to be with our Lord on June 8, 2019. MacKenzie attended Canon City School, where she played softball, and held certifications in the medical and criminal justice fields. With all of her accomplishments, her true passion was her horse Tommy, and her dog Jip. She was the 2017 Royal Gorge Rodeo Queen and Miss Congeniality. Mac was always willing to help anyone she came into contact with. Everyone instantly loved her and her spunky personality. Her smile and laugh were contagious to all. MacKenzie was always on the lookout for a new adventure, especially if it involved an animal. She loved Rodeo, farming, and bucking hay with Papa Dick. She got her love of horses from her daddy. He was teaching her how to rope and they always enjoyed trail riding together. There was never a dull moment on car rides whether it was her singing so loud, dancing crazy or staring at people while driving by. She always tried to embarrass you. She was a jack of all trades to horses, mechanicing, teaching people to drive stick shift, or how to dance. She is survived by her parents; sisters, Brittany (Kyle) Sukhbir, Brandi Clausen, Breanna (Ben) Keller, and Sierra Clausen; her grandfather, Richard Telck; nieces and nephews, Raelyn and Wyatt Sukhbir and Aden Keller; along with numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and incredible friends. Mackenzie will be greatly missed. Memorial Mass, Tuesday June 18, 2019, St. Michael Catholic Church, 1016 Mystic Ave., Canon City, CO 81212, with a reception to follow at at the Barnett Residence, 520 J Street, Penrose, Colorado.
