Louise Marie Manke, age 93 of Le Sueur, passed away at Ridgeview Nursing and Rehab Center in Le Sueur on Thursday, March 7, 2019. Memorial service will be on Sunday, June 16, 2019, 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley County. Visitation and lunch will follow in the church social hall. Louise and her twin sister, Betty, were born on March 14, 1925 in Kelso Township, Sibley County to Rose (Thelemann) and Julius Manke. Louise graduated from Gaylord High School and the Franklin Hospital of Practical Nursing. She practiced her nursing profession until her retirement in 1989. She was on the staff of Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis for more than 30 years. She also was on the staff of the hospitals in Glencoe, Austin, Mankato and St. Peter. Louise and her twin sister, Betty, traveled extensively, visiting all the states in the United States as well as Germany, Norway and the Holy Land. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Betty; and brothers, Melvin and Arthur. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church. Special thanks to the staff at Ridgeview Nursing and Rehab Center, Le Sueur for their loving care.
