Loreta “Rita” Ann Long, 75, of Mancelona, passed away on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 26, 1943 in Charlevoix, MI, the daughter of Marvin and Ardis (Hosler) Wilks. She enjoyed competing in both softball and bowling leagues, as well as baking and cooking. She and her husband also liked to attend bluegrass music festivals together. She is survived by her husband, Chester Long; three daughters, Malissa Long of Mancelona, Maria Beneaux (Long) of Mancelona, and Gena Aguirre-Garcia (Long) of Mancelona; a sister, Marlene Hardy; five grandchildren, Jasmine Weaver, Autumn Latting, Whitney Weaver, Jorge Jr., and Ericka Berreth; and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Pete Wilks, Ron Wilks, and Marlin Wilks. No services are planned at this time.
