Mr. Lonnie Fred Kirby, age 91, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Southgate Nursing Home in Metropolis, Illinois. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. Lonnie was born December 21, 1927 in Madison County, Tennessee to the late Harlis & Hettie Kirby. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruby Kirby; infant daughter, Fredia Diane Kirby; son, Larry Michael Kirby; and four sisters, Mary Lavelle Kirby-Chandler, Inez Kirby Wilks, Sue Kirby Claybrook, & Peggy Kirby McMackin. Mr. Kirby was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard. He retired from TVA in 1983 as an electrician. He is survived by his son, Don (Debbie) Kirby of Paducah, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Adam Kirby of Louisville, Kentucky, Brent Kirby of Paducah, Kentucky, & Leigh Anne (Clint) Roberts of New Market, Virginia.
