Number (334) 897-2225 Lois Virginia Goodson Stone age 99, a resident of the Mixon Cross Roads Community, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held from the Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday, April 27, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Larry Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Hayes Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday, April 27th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Her family request the omission of flowers and ask that memorials be made to the Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church preservation fund, c/o 4408 County Road 223, Elba, AL 36323. She is survived by her Son – Edsel (Sue) Stone, New Brockton, AL, Daughter – Betty (Robert) Turner, New Brockton, AL, Daughter – Jeanaria Parker, New Hope Community, AL, Grandson – Ricky (Donna) Turner, New Brockton, AL, Grandson – Bobby Turner, Jack, AL, Granddaughter – Tori Stone, Troy, AL, Granddaughter – Kay (Scott) Parrish, Daleville, AL, Grandson – Edwin Parker, New Hope Community, AL, and Granddaughter – Melanie (Mynard) Tindol of New Brockton, AL. She also leaves behind 5 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren, along with several Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents Lula Maddox Goodson and John Crawford Goodson, along with her husband George W. Stone, and a grandson Wayne Turner.
