Leonard S. “Windy” Lyons, 94, of White Hall Road, Danville, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at The Gatehouse Hospice, Williamsport. Born March 4, 1925 in Franklin Township, Lycoming County, he was the son of the late Orville and Eliza Jane (Heller) Lyons. On September 28, 1946 he married the former Mary E. Brouse and they celebrated 63 years of marriage until her death July 30, 2010. He was a truck driver for the former Stamm’s Supply Concrete Company, Turbotville and drove cattle trucks to the Dewart Livestock and Middleburg Market. He also enjoyed farming on his family farm most of his life. Earlier in his life he enjoyed hunting, playing cards and attending the Millville parade. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Jane M. and Leonard Parker, with whom he lived. Preceding him in death besides his wife was a daughter, Nancy Louise Lyons who died in infancy; four brothers: Richard, Jesse, Nevin, and Harold Lyons; and two sisters: Mabel McCracken and Leona Brouse. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, June 30, at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 1, with Rev. Robert L. Ayars, White Hall Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
