Leona Beaman Johnson, age 75, widow of Wayne Johnson, of 508 Milton Road, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Troy Beaman Sr. and Elizabeth Keasler Beaman. Mrs. Beaman was retired from District 56 School and was a member of the Community Baptist Church. She also worked with Duff’s restaurant for 8 years. She is survived by her sons, Robert Nelson (Kaye) of Clinton and Barry Nelson (Celia) of Greenwood; a sister, Ann Chaney of Clinton; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her daughter, Melinda Nelson; granddaughter, Nikki Nelson; and her brothers, Curtis, Troy, and Tommy Beaman. Cryptside services will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11 AM at the Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2019 Mrs. Johnson’s Home, 508 Milton Road, Joanna, SC 29351. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community Baptist Church, PO Box 942, Clinton, SC 29325.
