Lenna Jayne (Stanley) King was born to Edwin and Hazel Stanley on January 14, 1934 in Andover, Missouri and passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the age of 85, surrounded by family. She attended grade school at Andover until the family moved to Blythedale in 1943. She graduated high school there in 1951. In October 1964, Jayne, her father Edwin, and her three daughters Theresa, Tina and Tana were baptized together in a pond along 69 Hwy, just south of Lamoni. She worked as a surgical technician for cousin Dr. Addison Brown in Des Moines, Iowa and later in life went to school in California to become a nurse where she provided home healthcare for elderly. She enjoyed taking care of people. Jayne was a good seamstress, sewing many clothes, Christmas ornaments, baby blankets and quilts, and toys for her children and grandchildren. She also did caning of many chairs as well as rush seats in chairs or stools. She always had a garden and did a lot of canning. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was all around talented and driven. If you needed something done, she could do it. If she didn’t know how, she would figure it out. She spent most of her life in the Midwest, but moved to California in 1982 where she met Ralph King. They married on December 29, 1989. In 1998, they decided to move back to Missouri to be closer to more family. They attended many ballgames, recitals and various events of the many grandkids, as well as numerous family gatherings she loved to help plan, as well as prepare favorite dishes. She married Charles Trullinger in 1950, Donald Wilson in 1956, August Kaufman in 1961 and Ralph King in 1989 up until his death June 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph King, her parents Edwin and Hazel Stanley, and three sisters Addarene Stanley, Kathelene Stanley, and Bernedene (Stanley) Baker. She is survived by her children, Theresa (Joe) Hamaker, Tina Elmore, Tana Kinder, Tim (Kathy) Wilson, Tami (Lee) Blakesley and Tara (Steve) Grantham; grandchildren Missie (Rod) Cotton, Michelle (Bill) Plogher, Megan (Jeff) Madden, Adam Elmore, Nicolas (Sunny) Elmore, Hayley Elmore, Brynn Elmore, Travis (Nicole) Kinder, Talia (Kevin) Brown, Corbet (Nicholina) Wilson, Casey (Katie) Wilson, Joe (Courtney) Frazier, Nathan Frazier, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter; sisters Yvonne (David) Daniel, Eulonda (Bill) Roush, brother John (Carrol) Stanley, niece, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Jayne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Due to passing just two weeks apart, a joint memorial service will be held for Jayne and Ralph King at a later time.
