Kristi’s Obituary Kristi Ann (Wilson) Tenrreiro, 51, passed away April 3, 2019, at her home in Austin, TX. She spent the final days of her life surrounded by the love of family and friends following a courageous battle against breast cancer. A Celebration of Kristi’s Life will be held in Carroll at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com She was born on March 5, 1968, in Carroll, IA, to Jerry and Doris (Berns) Wilson. She was the youngest of three siblings, whom she loved whole heartedly. She was a 1986 graduate of Carroll High School. Kristi graduated in 1990 from Iowa State University with a marketing degree. After graduation, she worked in Des Moines. Later, she traveled to Grand Cayman where she lived and worked for three years. She then decided to try another adventure and moved to Maui, HI, where she met her husband, Gustavo Tenrreiro, from Argentina. They were married on the shore of Lake Tahoe on Sept. 12, 1999. They made their home in San Jose, CA, where their daughter, Sophia, was born on February 2, 2003. They later moved to Austin, TX, where their son Lucas was born on May 5, 2005. Kristi was proud of her children and was a wonderful mother. Her love and devotion to them was her priority. She loved watching Sophia compete in horse shows and Lucas sail in Regatta competitions. Kristi lived life to the fullest. Her infectious smile, laugh, and positive thinking gained her many friends from all over the world. One of her favorite quotes was from the Dalai Lama, “Choose to be optimistic, it feels better”. Kristi is survived by her husband, Gustavo Tenrreiro, daughter, Sophia and son, Lucas of Cedar Park, TX, her parents, Jerry and Doris Wilson of Carroll, sisters; Lori (Bill) Deegan of Kansas City, MO, and Teri (Mark) Schenkelberg of Prairie Village, KS; her mother-in-law Maria Ines Taboni of Necochea, Argentina; her aunt and uncle Ron and JoAnn (Berns) Richardson of Carroll, nieces and nephews; Lindsey (Mike) Rose, Sean (Rachel) Deegan, Kelsey, and Cole Deegan, Sara, Courtney, and Jacob Schenkelberg; and her cousins: Michelle Cooper, Lisa Boes, and Holly Tigges. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents J.E. and Eva Wilson of Lanesboro, IA, and Conrad and Anna Berns of Lidderdale, IA. Read More
