Visitation will begin Saturday at 12 noon at the funeral home and go until time of Service. Kenny W. Fortner born July 23, 1955 passed away Thursday May 23rd at his home after and extensive illness. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City for 25 years before having to take medical retirement. He leaves behind his best friend and love of his life and wife of 45 years, Betty Fortner; one daughter Angela Fortner; two grandchildren Matt Wright (Mallory) of Durham, NC, and Payton Sharpe of Sidonia; two brothers Gary Fortner, and Darren Fortner (Tamara); one sister, Kim Geiger (Jared). Kenny also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews behind. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Fortner and one brother, Greg Fortner. Kenny was a kind soul with an infectious laugh. The world lost an incredible man, but Heaven gained an angel.
