Juanita Myrick March 28, 1934 – June 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Juanita Myrick, 85, of Bessemer, AL passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019. She was a lifelong member of Second Baptist in Bessemer, serving her Lord at Crossway Baptist church. Juanita was a loving wife, devoted mother, a proud grandmother and a doting “JJ”. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jimmie Leon Myrick. Juanita is survived by her son, Michael (Cheri) Myrick; her daughter, Debbie (Fred) Hardin, her 4 grandchildren, Staci (Jay) Salser, April Hardin, Stephanie (Adam) Garrett, and Jonathan (Kim) Myrick, her 7 great grandchildren, Peyton, Sophia, Addison, Levi, Alleigh Jo, Avery and Sawyer; her brother, Hollis (Louise) Cahala and her sister, Belvie (Kenneth) Mann. Many years of her life were spent running an in home daycare and she is still known as “Grandmother” to many children who are now adults. Chapel service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Frank D. Sims will be officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give a special thanks to Retha, Kathy, and Dannielle for the loving care they gave our mother during this trying time. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Crossway Baptist Church, 1080 9th Ave. SW Bessemer, AL 35022.
