John R. Walker, 88, of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday morning. Mr. Walker was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee in 1931 and lived almost all of his life there. After graduating from Flintville High School he served in the United States Navy. Mr. Walker was well-known in the Hazel Green Community where he operated Walker’s Barber Shop for many years. He loved spending time in his garden, fishing, and time with his family. John was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine “Jo” Walker; His grandson, Nick Wygant; His brother, Paul Walker; His parents, Jack & Beulah Walker. Surviving family members include his son, Jack Walker and his wife, Marsha; His daughter, Natalie Wygant and her husband, Dan; His grandson, John Wygant; His brother, David (Jan) Walker; His brother-in-law, Charles R. Kennedy; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday at 10am at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11am at the funeral home with Bro. Eddie Graves officiating. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
