John A. Stefanosky, 83, of Clarion, passed away Saturday evening, June 22, 2019 at the Clarion Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1935 in Rochester, PA; son of the late Paul G. and Helen Roscoe Stefanosky. John married Eileen F. McPherson on October 6, 1956, and she survives. He worked as a crane operator for the Steel Mill. John attended the Helen Furnace Methodist Church. He was an avid car memorabilia and enjoyed collecting matchbox cars. John is survived by his loving wife; his son: Joe P. Stefanosky of New Brighton, PA; three grandchildren: Elyse Stefanosky of Beaver Falls, PA, and Daniel Stefanosky and Tanya Feola, both of Gainesville, FL; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister: Teresa Bostanic of Rochester, PA. John was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: John and Scott Stefanosky; two great grandsons: Devin and Austin Stefanosky; and his brother: Harvey Stefanosky. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is handling the arrangements.
