Joel’s Obituary ROY, Joel William – of Detroit, formerly of Burton, age 30, passed away June 16, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 14046 N. Saginaw Rd., Clio; Pastor Darrel Manning officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, payable to Randall L. Roy. Joel was born in Flint, MI on January 29, 1989, son of Randall and Bethany (Ayre) Roy. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Wayne State University. Joel enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, fishing, cooking, and playing and watching football. He also enjoyed collecting classic books like his Aunt Lynn. Joel always enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a hard worker, and was excelling in his career. Joel was not afraid to try new things and go on adventures. He especially enjoyed exploring new places and meeting new people. Joel was well liked by all. Joel is survived by his parents, Randall and Bethany Roy; siblings, Jessica (Brandon) Spangler, Alexa (Aaron) Moradi and Luke (Jewel) Roy; grandparents, William and Sandra Ayre and Ann Roy; nieces and nephews, Chase, Jorja, Jemma, Gideon, Justice, Constance and Elena.
