He was born July 2, 1944 at Dodge City, the son of Raymond and Josephine (Weber) Konrade. He was a graduate of St. Mary High School and a lifetime Dodge City resident. He was a crane operator and yard foreman for Wessel Iron and Supply in Dodge City for 53 years, retiring in 2015. He later was a truck driver for JAG and Dodge City Sand. He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City and enjoyed hunting and fishing. On August 10, 1985 he married Donna Hooper at the First Christian Church in Dodge City. She survives. Other survivors include: his brother, Mert and wife Charlotte, Dodge City; 2 granddaughters, Stevie Williams, Troy, Missouri and Jennilee Frydendall, Argyle, Texas; and 4 great grandchildren, Adin Williams, Dilyn Williams, Peyton Frydendall and Ellie Frydendall. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Konrade. Memorial services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with Fr. John Forkuoh officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorials to St. Francis Ministries or CASA both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
