Jerry Ronald Hutcheson, age 74, passed away Thursday morning, June 27, 2019, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Turrell, AR, on September 20, 1944, to William Hutcheson and Vera Gay Hutcheson. Jerry was a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth. He graduated from Southside High School and attended Memphis State University. He worked as a heavy equipment salesman before retiring. He was a member of the Prentiss County Republican Party Executive Committee. He was an avid Mississippi State fan. He loved traveling and going to Disney World, wood working, and working in the yard. Spending time with family brought him much joy. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Floyd and Dr. Randy Bostick officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 until 2:00. Burial will be in Forked Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, June Roberts Hutcheson; one son, Josh Hutcheson (Kelly) of Tupelo; one daughter, Nicole Hutcheson of Booneville; three grandchildren, Graham Hutcheson, Clayton Hutcheson, and Jane Hutcheson all of Tupelo; one brother-in-law, Dennis Roberts (Debbie) of Mantachie; and one aunt, Wanda Jones of New Lenox, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ann Hutcheson; his father-in-law, A.C. Roberts and mother-in-law, Geraldine Roberts. Pallbearers will be Jeff Collums, Ted Furcron, James Futrell, Wayne Williams, Johnny Edwards, Dr. David Greenhaw, Brad Greenhaw,and Grant Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Tanner, Larry Fitzgerald, Loyd Locke Sunday School Class, Jimmy Sowell, James Chase, Prentiss County Republican Executive Committee, and Wayne Prince. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund. Condolences may be extended to the family at boonevillefuneralhome.net.
