Jeanette’s Obituary Jeanette Covington, 77 of Asheboro departed this earthly life for eternal glory surrounded by her family Thursday June 13, 2019. Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Connected Bridges Outreach Ministries, 1580 Old Cedar Falls Road, Asheboro, NC 27203 Visitation, 6-7:30pm, Monday at the church. She was born September 10, 1941 in Guilford County to the late June and Waver Davis Covington. Jeanette attended Central High School and Carver College. During her early years, Ms. Covington was a member of the Cross Street Church of God Of Prophecy. She later became one of the original members of Connected Bridges Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Bishop J. Harold Williams. Jeanette leaves cherished memories to: a nephew, Leonard Covington (Latisha Harris) reared as her son; his children, Brian Clapp, Daijah Covington and Janiya Covington; sisters, Mary F. Williams (Dr. J. Harold Williams) of Asheboro and Colleen Covington of Greensboro, NC; brothers, James “Sonny” Covington and Ronald Covington (Norma Jean) both of Asheboro; sister-in law, Betty Davis of Gibsonville, NC; and a special friend, Ms. Julia Hardy.
